If you have a concern regarding your care you have the right to file a formal complaint. Filing a complaint will not adversely affect your care. All complaints are investigated and addressed in the best interest of the patient and their care. The complaint can be verbal or in writing. Staff members can make a complaint and/or submit an incident report to the Quality Care Department.
All complaints are provided and tracked by the Quality Care Department. All complaints are investigated. The Quality Care Director will initiate an investigation regarding a complaint and will take action as appropriate.
All complaints are formally documented, investigated, and reviewed. Determinations as to how to address the complaint is made collectively by the Quality Care Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Executive Officer every month, although some complaints are addressed and resolved immediately within the department. Department Heads are often involved in the solution and resolution of patient complaints.
It is important to have patient input/feedback as services are based on the overall patient needs and services available.
