Dr. Zane Rising Sun, a physician at White Shield Medical Center, is Dakotan and Northern Cheyenne. He grew up on the Fort Peck Reservation in Poplar, MT, and attended the University of North Dakota for his undergraduate and medical education. He takes pride in his commitment to working on the reservation throughout his 25-year career and plans to continue. From a young age, he always wanted to benefit the Native Nation, and through INMED, he gained the confidence to pursue a career as a doctor. Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy gardening, spending time with their grandchildren, and participating in church activities.
