"AIHEC is currently accepting applications for the 2025 Health Sciences Summer Institute (HSSI), a four-week program hosted jointly by AIHEC and the University of North Dakota's Indigenous Health Department. We are seeking currently enrolled and recently graduated Tribal College & University (TCU) students from all majors who are interested in exploring health research and career opportunities.

The HSSI is a 4-week program for TCU students who are interested in learning about health sciences research from an indigenized perspective. The program includes virtual activities as well as two weeks on the University of North Dakota's campus in Grand Forks where students receive instruction from the Indigenous Health Department faculty. Students do NOT need to be enrolled in a health or sciences major to participate. AIHEC covers the full cost of their participation, including travel, accommodations, per diem, and a stipend for completing the full program.

The 2025 program will take place from June 9 - July 4, 2025.
Applications are LIVE and accessible at this link
