Isabelle “Izzy” Pamela Gertrude Tiokasin, an optometry assistant, grew up in New Town, North Dakota, and is a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes. She chose this role out of a desire to learn something new, and now she is proud to help the people in her community see better. Her hobbies include reading, sleeping, hanging out, and playing bingo with her mother. Her Native American name translates to Yellow Butterfly Girl, and her nickname, “Izzy,” comes from her grandmother, Isabelle Good Iron. She is also the proud granddaughter of Arthur Clyde Smith.
