Javanna Foote, an HIM technician, grew up in Nebraska and is a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes. She will inherit her grandmother’s Lakota name, which translates to "carries burden." Foote is completing an associate degree in social work. Watching her relatives in the healthcare field inspired her interest in pursuing a career in this area. She has previously worked as an elders program coordinator and a public health COVID-19 tester. Foote enjoys history and spending time with her family.
