Tatum McCabe, a benefits coordinator, grew up in Arizona and is a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes of Mohave and Navajo descent in Parker, Arizona and Quechan (Kwaatsaan) descent of Yuma, Arizona. She has worked in various Indian Health Service and Bureau of Indian Affairs facilities in California and Arizona and has been in healthcare for 10 years. Part of her experience has included serving as an adult medical caseworker for her tribe for 5 years. McCabe has earned various certificates and training and is currently working on a human resources bachelor’s degree. Helping patients understand their benefits and overcome obstacles brings her joy. She appreciates the cultural diversity at MHA Nation and the similarities between her tribe and the Three Affiliated Tribes. Her Mohave name translates to “little bird.” She beads Mohave capes and enjoys spending time with her little family: Melly, HaiHai, and Skeeter.
