Angela Yellowbird, administrative officer, is from Cowessess First Nation, Cowessess, Saskatchewan, Canada. She is a mom of four adult children and has ten grandchildren. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Administration from the First Nations University of Canada in Regina, Saskatchewan, in 2007. She became a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager with the Aboriginal Officers Association of Canada in 2009. Yellowbird later became a Certified First Nations Health Manager with the First Nations Health Managers Association of Canada in 2019.
Before moving to the United States in 2021, she worked in health administration, serving ten years as a Health Director and three years as an Executive Director for Cowessess First Nation. Her current focus is in the area of Human Resources. Yellowbird also obtained her Tribal Human Resources Professional II Certification with the National Native American Human Resources Association in 2023. She has worked with the Elbowoods as the Administrative Officer since October 2022. She finds it a true honor and privilege to work with such an elite group of employees. She intends to continue doing her best for all the employees of Elbowoods by ensuring that proper structures, policies, and procedures are in place to create a harmonious work environment.
