Dr. Anita Martin, CMO, received her undergraduate degree at Duke University and then attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She did her residency at the National Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, worked in rural North Carolina, and transferred to Kaiser Permanente HMO when it was in the city of Raleigh. Her extensive background includes hospital-based practice, private practice, and urgent care. She came to Elbowoods as a locum in 2015 and became permanent after six months. As a trained pediatrician, she loves making a lifelong impact on children’s lives that carries into adulthood. Her grandfather is an enrolled member of the Occaneechi, a state-recognized tribe in North Carolina, but she is not enrolled. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and baking.
